Henry Young

HENRY YOUNG (1792-1861)

was born in Saxony, immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1817 and in 1819 became a schoolmaster in the German School of Mifflinburg in Union County. He lived there and in Centre County, producing frakturs over a forty year period. The wineglass form is one of the best known and appreciated of his thirteen forms.
